Jackie “Jack” Owens Lane, age 72, of Covington, KY passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his residence. Jack was born on May 14, 1946 in Covington to the late Jessie Owens Lane and Sarah Jane Sayers Lane. He owned and operated Jess & Sons Towing in Covington. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Myrna Lane (nee Arnsparger); two children, Nancy Lane and James Lane (Sarah); three grandchildren, Henry Lane, Josie Lane and Sadie Lane. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Lane and Tom Lane. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1839 Euclid Ave. Covington, KY 41014. Burial will immediately follow in Highland Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017 and/or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
