Joseph Thomas Condit born June 21, 1942, age 76, of Covington, KY passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. A dedicated public servant of Northern Kentucky, he worked for the City of Covington for nearly 30 years holding various roles including, City Manager, Finance Director and City Solicitor. Early in his career, he was elected to the position of District Judge for the Kentucky District Court 16-Kenton County. He retired from public service after serving as the Executive Director of the Neighborhood Foundations, formerly known as the Newport Housing Authority. Joseph was an active volunteer in the community including, but not limited to: St. Elizabeth Hospital's Board of Trustees; St. Benedict's Parish Council; Franciscan Daughters of Mary Rose Garden Home Mission; and St. Vincent de Paul. Joseph is survived by his children, Victoria Kroger (Bernie), Joseph Patrick Condit, Jeannine Nocero (Mario), and Christina Condit; siblings, James Condit, Joan Neuhaus, Janice Kennedy, Jeff Condit, Jeannine Kandric, and Judy Condit; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Condit (nee Lacy), son Justin Condit, and brothers, Jack Condit and Jerry Condit. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 9:00AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00AM at St. Benedict Church (Covington, KY). Entombment will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict Church, 338 E 16th St, Covington, KY 41014; Franciscan Daughters of Mary Rose Garden Mission, 2020-2040 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 41014; or St. Vincent de Paul Advancement Director, 2655 Crescent Springs Road, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.
