Ida Margaret Hummeldorf - Wells (nee Means), born January 1, 1934 in Maysville, Kentucky the daughter of late Maysville City Fireman Lloyd Powell Means and Mary Theresa Gibbons Means McDonough. Preceded in death by her husband Commander Charles Thomas Wells her sister Suzanne Marie Means and grandchild Austin Cole Hummeldorf of La Vergne, TN. Ida attended St. Patrick Grade and High School in Maysville, KY. Graduating in Class of 1952. Nazareth School of Nursing St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington KY Class of 1955. Registered Nurse, never retired. Employed at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY, Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY, Hayswood Hospital, Maysville, KY, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington KY C.C.A.T. – Cincinnati, OH, Home Health over Ten years with Visiting Nurse Association, Intermin Health Care, KY and OH. She and her late husband traveled Canada and every State in the US _ including Nova Scotia. Enjoyed reading and collecting bells from North and South America, Europe and Far East. She is survived by her loving children Antoinette Hummeldorf, Regina Sunderhaus (Dan), Loretta Olmstead (John), James L. Hummeldorf II (Beth), Eric Hummeldorf, Dr. Kurt Hummeldorf (Dotty), Francine Thomas (Darren), and Aaron Hummeldorf (Wendy). Loving grandmother of 33 and 6 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Sue Beckman (Paul). Dear aunt of David Beckman (Terri), Greg Beckman, Susanne Beckman, and Suzanne Beckman. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am until 1:00pm aty St. Patrick Church in Maysville, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm. Second Visitation will be at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm. A second Mass will take place at St. Paul Church in Florence at 10:00am on Friday. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
