Margaret Berling Schindler Kohrman passed at Carmel Manor on April 1 at age 101. Born in Covington, KY to Rose and George Berling, she attended St John's School and would reminisce about walks to Devou Park, street cars, ice trucks, and chicken coops in back yards. She felt fortunate in having had 2 happy marriages first to Lee Schindler, a veteran of WW II, who ran a plumbing business and later to John Kohrman, a Covington attorney. As a young woman, Marge worked at Newberry's and later was a hostess at McAlpins Tea Room. Marge enjoyed fishing and was a lifelong Reds fan. She was faithful to her church and kept her rosary at her side. Marge is survived by her loving nephews and their families: Gordon (Verna) Berling, Jerome (Susan) Berling: nieces Joan(Barry) Strittholt, Janice( Marc) Johannemann . She is remembered with affection by the Kohrman children, Susan, Jayne, Jim, Kathleen, Becky and their families. Marge touched many lives by her kindness and happiness. She will be missed by her many friends, new and old. A visitation will be held at St.John's Church in Covington, KY from 10am until Mass of a Christian Burial at 11am on Friday, April 6, 2018.
