Leo Edward Sensel, 83, of Crestview Hills, passed away at home on March 28. He was born on September 7, 1934, son of Edward Sensel and Edna Ackerman Sensel. He leaves his devoted wife of fifty-two years, Patricia Selzer Sensel; his five loving daughters (and their husbands) Anne Graham (Steve), Beth Hart (Bill), Meg King (Kyle), Kate Hamilton (Steve), and Amy Aubry (Robert); seventeen beloved grandchildren; and three sisters, Carolyn Zink, Cathy Crall, and Linda Kunkle. Leo was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed and Paul Sensel. A 1953 graduate of Xavier University, Leo was a loyal supporter of Xavier athletics and served the university through its Musketeer Club. As a partner of the Joseph R. Kruse Insurance Agency in Cincinnati that became the Kneflin, Dillhoff, Hils, & Kruse Agency, Leo served his clients with kindness, passion, integrity, and humor. Affable and cheerful and dependable, a man of dignity, faith, and character, Leo was a long-time member of Summit Hills Country Club, as well as an officer and president. He was also an active member of St. Pius X parish for over five decades. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, April 7, at St. Pius X Church, Edgewood, KY from 10 am until 12:15 pm; Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30 pm; and a reception immediately following at Summit Hills Country Club. Leo will be buried at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in St. Bernard on Monday, April 9, at 10 am. All are welcome.
