Joan Marie Kruer

Joan M. Kruer (Foltz), age 68 and daughter of Dorothy Gerwe and Gilbert Foltz, was surrounded by family at her home when she peacefully joined the Lord on December 29, 2017. She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years-Jim, son Justin (Kira), daughter Katie Linich (David), sisters Carol Souder (Bud), Myra McEvoy (Dennis), Elaine Carroll (Pat), Dottie Hornsby (Rick), Barb Dressman (Jim), Paula Kremer (Ken), Lisa Boggs (Paul), brother Gil Foltz (Lisa), grandchildren (Kade, Jace, Tate, and Teagan Kruer, Mack and Brogan Linich) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and an overwhelming number of friends and supporters. Joan was a proud graduate of St. Paul Grade School, Notre Dame Academy (‘67), Thomas More College (B.S. ‘71), and Northern Kentucky University (RN ‘73). She lovingly volunteered with Edgewood Garden Club, Master Gardener Club, Tender Mercies, Special Needs Foster Care, Literacy Program, Charlie’s Angels, Parish Kitchen, NODA and St. Pius X, and was a dedicated RN with St. Elizabeth Hospital and Home Health for 32 years. Joan thoroughly enjoyed gardening, traveling, golfing and spending time with her beautiful grandchildren. Family, friends, and others whose lives she touched are invited to St. Pius X Church at 348 Dudley Rd. in Edgewood, KY ?on Wednesday, January 3 from 9:00-11:30 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30.
