Martha Bowling, age 89, of Independence, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Hargis Bowling (1990). Martha is survived by her children, Beverly A. Bowling, Teresa J. Mulligan (Michael), Paula G. Bowling, Dennis W. Bowling and Hargis Bowling (Barbara); sisters, Pauline Turner and Zeta Faye Keith; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017) on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1 PM until 4 PM. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home the following day, Monday, October 16, 2017 at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass 7388 Turfway Road Florence, KY 41042.
