Judith "Judy" Martin Riley

Judith Martin “Judy” Riley, 72 years of age, of Union, KY passed away on September 11,2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. She was born in Tampa, FL. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy “Dot” Knott Martin and Joseph William “Billy” Martin Sr. and her grandparents Minnie Lou Martin and Buford Felton Martin and Rena Madeline Knott Smith and William Samuel Knott. Judy grew up in Avon Park, Fl., and graduated from Jones College in Jacksonville, FL., and met her future husband who was from Louisville, KY and in the Navy stationed in Jacksonville, FL. Judy worked in Louisville, KY as a Adminidtrative Assistant for 15 years at Tube Turns Inc (now Sypris), 10 years at Sud-Chemie Inc (now Clariant) and 4 years at Lantech. She held various offices in the International Association of Administrative Proffesionals (IAAP). For the last 10 years she and her husband lived in Union, KY where she was nanny to their 3 grandchildren for 8 years and then Lunchroom Monitor at the grandchildren’s School, Blessed Sacrament School. She is survived by her spouse of 52 years, James Lloyd Riley of Union, KY, daughter Erin Marie Riley of Tulsa, OK, daughter Dr. Heather Lucas (Robert) of Crestview Hills, KY her grandchildren Brennen Michael Lucas, Claire Catherine Lucas, and Keira Riley Lucas. Her brother Joseph William Martin Jr. (Joyce) of Tampa, FL, nephew Brian Joseph Martin (Bobbie Jo), great niece Hayden of Sebring, Fl, niece Jennifer Rene Teski (Scott) and great niece Kendall of Port Orange, Fl. Memorial Mass for Judy will be held Thursday September 14, 2017, 10:00 am At Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. A gathering will follow in the Church Undercroft following the Mass. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft, Wright are assisting the family.
