Rita Marie Thomas

Rita Marie Thomas, age 92, of Erlanger, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017 surrounded by her family.  She retired from Shillitos as a sales clerk and later in life volunteered as the secretary at St. John Church in Covington, KY.  She always enjoyed helping out at church festivals, playing bingo and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.  Rita really enjoyed her friends and caregivers at the Baptist Village Care Center and the friendship they shared.  Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer Thomas; son, Edward Thomas; daughter, Linda Horton and her 8 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Bising (Ron) of Villa Hills, KY and Debbie Krohman (Mike) of Villa Hills, KY; daughter-in-law, Lennea Thomas; grandchildren, Jason Thomas (Jenny) and Megan Thomas; great-grandchildren, Savannah Thomas, Marissa Thomas and Allyson Bowles; best friend, JoAnn Bowman.  Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017) from 4 PM to 7 PM.  Mass of Christian burial will follow on Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. John Church in Covington, KY at 10 AM.  Interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. John Church 627 W Pike Street Covington, KY.
