Roy Thomas Brannan, age 60, of Beavercreek, Ohio. Roy passed away March 11, 2017. Roy was born February 18, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio and lovingly adopted as the only child of Thomas & Marie Brannan. Roy attended high school at St Francis Seminary in Cincinnati, later graduating from Thomas More College in 1979. During college, Roy met his wife Debbie while working at Camp Marydale in Erlanger, Kentucky. After their marriage in 1980, Debbie and Roy moved to Dayton, Ohio. They were married 36 years and blessed with three children. Roy was a loving Father and devoted Grand Father. In 1979, while in college, Roy began a co-op program with Wright Patterson AFB – he would go on to enjoy a 38 year career at the base, serving as a Civilian Specialist for Logistics Management. Roy also enjoyed working with local teenagers having instructed student drivers part time for ten years at the Wheeler Driving School. Roy’s interests included golf, and he was known as an accomplished & avid bowler. Roy was also talented singer – with a record produced in 1979. Most importantly, Roy was a good friend to many and loved by his family. Roy is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter; Sara, daughter; Heather Newland (Eric), daughter; Chelsea Trotti (Will) & his beloved four grandchildren…Aubrielle, Elijah, Alaric & Ryker. Roy is also survived by his in laws; Greg & Tammy DiMuzio, Jeff & Denise DiMuzio, Bret & Kris DiMuzio, father in law – Tony DiMuzio along with many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning March 15th at St Luke’s Catholic Church in Beavercreek, Ohio from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. After Mass there will be a reception for family and friends at St Luke’s Kramer Hall, at the church. Roy will be interned in a private ceremony at St Stephen Cemetery in Northern Kentucky.
