Jim Edward Kolkmeier

Jim Kolkmeier, age 86, of Ft. Wright, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017.  Jim retired from the Ohio River Company as a transportation manager after 36 years.  He loved fishing, was a big Xavier sports fan and longtime member of the St. Agnes choir.  Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eileen Kolkmeier in 2011 and grandson, John Kolkmeier.  He is survived by his children, Mark Kolkmeier (Sue) and Steve Kolkmeier (Susan); siblings, Ray Kolkmeier (Sue), Mary Sarge (Nick) and Paul Kolkmeier (Jane); grandchildren, Mark Jr. (Becky), Katie, Ben, Staci, Lauren and Megan Kolkmeier; great-grandson, Mason and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Agnes Church in Ft. Wright, KY from 4:30 PM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 6:30 PM.  Interment will take place the following day, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY at 1:00 PM.  Memorial contributions are suggested to: Redwood 71 Orphanage Rd, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017 and/or St. Henry District High School 3755 Scheben Dr. Erlanger, KY 41018.
