Arthur William Wild, Jr., 86, of Villa Hills passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2017. “Bill” was the loving husband of the late Daphne E. Wild (nee Scorey) and is survived by his beloved children Amy Claire Wild and Ian Wild (Kathleen), and 3 grandchildren Bridget, Claire and Brendan. He is also survived by his dear sister Joan Maier (nee Wild) and brother in law Richard Maier of Park Hills, and sister in law Audrey Grundy (nee Scorey) of Cheltenham, England. He leaves behind 10 wonderful nieces and nephews as well as 27 great-nieces and great-nephews living in the U.S. and England. Bill was a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1954 and served in the U.S. Air Force as a B-47 pilot-navigator until 1959. After his military service, he earned a Masters degree from the University of Washington and focused the first half of his civilian career as a college professor of political science and the second half in government economic development. He enthusiastically shared his joy for music, art, literature, world travel, fine food and life-long “learnings” of red wines with all those he spent time with. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 12pm Noon at Saint Agnes Church 1680 Dixie Highway, Fort Wright, KY 41011.
