Mary Jo Lemker

Mary Jo Lemker, age 87, of Edgewood, KY passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Fred Lemker.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Josephine Thelen; brothers, Edward Thelen, Bernard Thelen and Raymond Thelen and great-granddaughter, Katherine (Katiebug) Lemker.  Mary Jo is also survived by her daughters, Kathy Wenstrup (Mark), Janet Arlinghaus (Ted)(the late Wil List), Susan Cropenbaker (Rick) and Linda Sherman (Keith); sons, Richard Lemker (Mary Beth) and Daniel Lemker (Belinda); 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was a high school graduate of Notre Dame Academy and a member of the Golden Age Social Club of Edgewood, KY.  Mary Jo loved playing cards and cooking for her family and friends.    Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Pius X Church from 5 PM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 7 PM.  In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice 483 S Loop Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
