Leo Stamm, 73, of Fort Wright, passed away on Saturday, December 10 at St. Elizabeth Hospice surrounded by his family. Leo was part-owner and operator of the Fort Mitchell Garage in Park Hills for nearly 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Ursula Stamm, brother William Stamm, and sister Blanche Kunkel. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Stamm, daughters Lisa Stamm of Park Hills, Michelle Middendorf (Dave) of Fort Wright, and Amy Schwartz of Fort Wright, as well as 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Mary Appel (Al) of Fort Wright, Tom Stamm (Hazel) of Fort Wright, and Sister Mary Janet Stamm of the Sisters of Notre Dame. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Agnes Church, a graduate of Covington Catholic High School and Thomas More College. He was also proud to be a Dale Carnegie graduate and credited his Dale Carnegie training with giving him the skills he needed to run a successful business and still enjoy life. He was an ASE-certified Master Automotive Technician and was dedicated to providing the best possible service to his customers, many of whom he served for decades. He served on the Technical Advisory Board for Gateway Community and Technical College, and taught auto mechanics classes for women at Thomas More College. Leo served the Park Hills community in many ways, including as a leader of the Park Hills Business Association and a member of the Park Hills Village Green Committee, where he contributed his ideas and efforts toward keeping Park Hills a beautiful city. He helped establish public garden areas and preserve historic signage in the city. He was always a kind, willing, cheerful, and capable volunteer. He had many diverse interests, including listening to opera, playing Disc Golf, building and flying hovercrafts, and driving his grandchildren in local parades in the 1965 Ford Mustang he restored. He will be dearly missed by his family and all of his many friends. Visitation will take place at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 MADISON PK. FT. WRIGHT, KY 41017) on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, Friday, December 16, 2016 at St. Agnes Church in Ft.
