Diane Marie Russell

Diane Marie Russell, age 60, of Edgewood, Kentucky, passed away on October 31, 2016 at home. Beloved wife of 38 years to Dean Russell, and mother of 5 beautiful children for which she was very proud of. Diane was a school teacher for the last 29 years and teacher/principal for the last 4 years at Holy Family School in Covington, Kentucky. She was very devoted to teaching the children at school and helping them in many ways. She was a member of St. Benedict Church in Covington, Kentucky. The highlight of her life was being with her five grandchildren who called her “Mawmaw”. She is survived by her dearly loved family, husband Dean, four sons and one daughter, Brian of Edgewood, Nicholas (Stephanie) grandson Andrew and granddaughter Emma of Edgewood, Jason of Independence, Gregory (Linzey) granddaughters Paizley, Scarlett, and Willow of Edgewood and Lisa (Josh) of Covington. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Andrew and Betty Timperman of Edgewood. She is also survived by two brothers, Jeff Wolnitzek of Fort Wright and Gary Wolnitzek (Vickie) of Villa Hills, three sisters, Julie Spaulding (Baron) of Erlanger, Jill Wolnitzek of Villa Hills, Rebecca Jones (Clay) of Goshen, Ohio and brother-in-law Fred Stein of Edgewood. Diane is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Ann Wolnitzek and three sisters, Karen, Connie and Carolyn. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 10:00 am at St. Benedict Church. Entombment will be at Mother of God Cemetery Mausoleum.
