Ethel R. Kolesar

Ethel Raichl Kolesar, age 83, died on October 8, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 7, 1933, the daughter of James and Emma Raichl. She graduated from Deer Park High School in Cincinnati in 1950. She met and fell in love with Andrew L. (“Larry”) Kolesar when she was 14, married him five years later on December 8, 1951 and stayed happily married 44 years until his death on May 12, 1995. After the children were raised, she worked with Larry at the Kolesar Insurance Agency in Hamilton, Ohio. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hamilton for many years. She was active in church, school and civic organizations in Hamilton. She began playing golf at age 50 and became an avid and capable golfer. Her first priority throughout her life was her family which gave her great pride and joy. She felt blessed by the love of her husband, children and grandchildren.She is survived by her loving and dedicated children, Denise (Jack) Gormley, Diane (Jim) Castleman, Andrew (Geri) Kolesar, and Laura (Gary) Haseley and nine grandchildren, Drew Castleman, Sarah, Jay, and David Haseley, Kate and Anna Gormley, and Laine, Elly and Jake Kolesar. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Raichl. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until 2:00 pm and funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, Kentucky. The family will hold a private burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Hamilton, Ohio.
