John “Jack” C. Haas Sr., age 82, of Erlanger, passed away on Friday September 30, 2016 surrounded by family. Jack was born on April 29, 1934 to the late John P. Haas and Marie Haas (nee Weiss). He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Joan Haas (nee Darpel); loving father of Laura Pasek (Brad), John Haas (Margee), Jim Haas (Teresa Summe), Jeff Haas, and Cheryl Haas; beloved grandfather of Ashley, Heather and Hunter Pasek, Lindsay and Stuart Haas, Olivia and Mitchell Summe-Haas, Natalie and Hayden Haas; great grandfather of Alexandria and Cameron Meyer; dear brother of Phyllis Megerle (Joe), Helen Gaynor; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Babe Mersch and JoAnn Hinkel. Jack served in the United States Army and was an Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He then graduated from Thomas More College with an Engineering Degree. He worked for over 38 years at Kirk& Blum as a Plant Manager and Engineer. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Church 2470 Lorraine Ct, Crescent Springs, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery. A reception will also immediately follow the mass under the Church in Noll Hall till 4:00. MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME, FT WRIGHT is assisting the family with services.
