Mary Ellen Miller

   Mary Ellen Nutini Miller, age 96, passed away September.21, 2016 at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility. Mary Ellen was born July 21, 1920 in Covington, KY, the daughter of Louis and Antoinette (Grover) Nutini. She grew up in Ft. Mitchell, Ky, where she attended school. She graduated from Our Lady of Cincinnati College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition.

   On May 3, 1947 she married Gerard Miller in Cincinnati, OH where they made their home. She was a homemaker when her children were young, then she  worked  at H.S. Pogues Co. in Cincinnati as a sales clerk in the coat department for several years before retiring. Mary Ellen moved to the Alanson area in 2007 to be near her daughter Tina.

   Mary Ellen was an accomplished piano player and also enjoyed cooking and knitting.

   Mary Ellen is survived by her children Christina Hussey (John) of Alanson, MI, Charles Miller (Joan) of Champlin, MN., John Miller of Taylor Mill, KY, and Mary Nancy Ytterba (Nils) of Plymouth, MN. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Gerard, her brother Dr. Louis Nutini and his wife Gloria and her sister Anne Elsener and her husband August.

   Funeral services will be in Ft. Mitchell, KY and interment will be in Cincinnati, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Music and Memory Program in Mary Ellen Miller’s memory.
