Robert Arthur "Bob" Hartmann of Fort Wright, age 90, passed to his final reward on Tuesday, September 27th. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, enlisting at age 17 and serving on an escort carrier as a cook. He later worked as a master butcher for Stegner's Foods for 52 years. He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Parish. He loved horse racing, the Reds, the Bengals, and working on the family farm. He has left a legacy of love and caring for all those he came in contact with. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marjorie (nee Kuchle), his daughters Margaret Finnell (David) of Burlington, KY, Suzanne Hartmann of Fort Wright, KY and Joan Beiersdorfer (Rich) of Villa Hills, KY, his grandchildren Carl Finnell, Steven Finnell, Jonathon Beiersdorfer, Andrew Beiersdorfer and Emily Beiersdorfer. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Edna Hartmann, brothers Edward, Norbert, Albert, Charles and Paul and sisters Alvera Prickett and Betty Johnston. He also leaves a large number of very dear nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Fort Wright, KY, with the Mass of Christian Burial there at 11:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY at the convenience of the family. Memorials are suggested to: Sisters of Notre Dame Uganda Mission, 1601 Dixie Highway, Covington, KY 41011.
