James "Jim" Brown Sr.

James “Jim” E. Brown Sr., age 86, of Park Hills, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann Brown (Nee Haverbusch) for over 59 years. Loving father of Dr. James Brown Jr. (Judy), Lynn Case (Tom), and Nancy Brown. Jim was the beloved grandfather of Jennifer, Christopher, and Andrew Case. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Dorothy Haverbusch and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Brown; brother, Robert Brown; and his sister-in-laws, Clare Martin, Rita Fritz, Betty Haverbusch, Martha Haverbusch, and Phyllis Brown; and brother-in-law, Len Fritz. Jim served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then started working for Western Southern where he retired as a manager of the data processing center. After retiring, he served as a business manager for Saint Agnes Church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME, 3312 MADISON PIKE FT. WRIGHT, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation and take place at Saint Agnes Church at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Saint John Cemetery.
