Margaret Lilian Nienaber

Margaret Lilian Nienaber (Messmer) (nee McGraw), 99, of Villa Hills, formerly of Lakeside Park, Taylor Mill, Edgewood and Falmouth, passed away on April 6, 2016, at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY. Born in Pendleton County, Kentucky, on January 24, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Wordy William and Lucy Delaney McGraw. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband’s Edgar Nienaber and Charles Messmer. She was a past member of the St. Pius X, Blessed Sacrament, and St. Anthony Catholic Churches. While able, she was active in the Sanfordtown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed volunteering at St. Elizabeth hospital, square dancing, travelling, and her friends and family. She is survived by her sons, James (Barbara) Messmer of Florence, KY, John (Phyllis) Messmer of Union, KY, Robert (Louise) Messmer of Warner Robbins, GA, Joseph (Linda) Messmer of Edgewood, KY, and Thomas (Rebecca) Messmer of Villa Hills, KY, 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be at Mother of God in Covington, KY.
