Shirley Ann Brinkman

Shirley Ann Brinkman, 83, of Crescent Springs, KY was called by Jesus on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 after a brief illness.  Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Brinkman (1989) and the devoted loving mother of the late Timothy Brinkman (2013).  She is survived by her daughters: Barb (Tom) Thoss, Teri Metzger, and Jody (Bob) McKinney; siblings Gary (Mary Jo) Salmons, Nancy (Bob) Due, Janice (Danny) Hall, and Kathy Stidham; and sister-in-laws Lois (Dick) Rolfsen and Margie (Dan) Kennedy.  She was the adored grandmother of Brad Thoss, Corey Thoss, Joey Metzger, Carly Metzger, Jamie McKinney Parisi, Emily McKinney, Wesley McKinney and loving great grandmother of Logan, Landon and Taylor Thoss.  Shirley was a member and volunteer at St. Joseph Parish, and in earlier years was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.   Shirley retired from the Beechwood School District where she worked in the cafeteria for many years.  Shirley was active in many community organizations such as the Happy Timers, Hilltoppers,  and several Senior Citizen groups.  Shirley enjoyed being around family and friends, playing cards and bunko, volunteering, and traveling.  She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.  A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 11 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 1 PM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Social Services 3629 Church St. Covington, KY 41015. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft.
