Carl Hegener, 78, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his residence. He was the loving of husband of the late Judith Hegener. Loving father of David Hegener (Gracie) and Wayne Hegener. Carl was the proud grandfather of Sarah and Courtney Hegener and dear brother of Janet Ruwan (Richard). He is preceded in death by his brother Larry Hegener. Carl was an Engineer and retired from the Cincinnati Gilbert Machine & Tool Company. He enjoyed fishing, but he really enjoyed spending his time with his two sons and granddaughters. A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. at Saint Paul Catholic Church, in Florence. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12:10 p.m. Burial at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the: American Cancer Society 2808 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
