Frances M. Cavanaugh, 67, of Edgewood, passed away on February 10, 2016 with her family by her side. Frances was born on February 29, 1948 to the late Carlos and Frances Salgado. She lived in Colombia, South America from the age 2 until 18. She was the loving wife of James Cavanaugh; loving mother of Laura and Michael Cavanaugh; and her niece Angela Salgado. Fran is preceded in death by her brother George Salgado. Frances was a teacher for 40 years and she spent the last 18 years at St. Pius X School, in Edgewood. Frances loved children and enjoyed teaching, it was the enjoyment of her life. A visitation will take place on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME, 3312 MADISON PIKE, FT. WRIGHT, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Saint Cecilia Cemetery, in Independence. Memorials are suggested to: American Cancer Society 2808 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
