William E. Simpson

William E. Simpson, 70, of Crescent Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at home with his family by his side. Bill was born on October 27, 1945 to the late William and Helen Simpson of Danville KY. He leaves behind his beloved wife and soul mate of 47 years Mary Sue Simpson. He also leaves behind his son, William E. “Will Ed” Simpson, II (Loretta) and his daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Hunt (Jason). He was the proud grandfather of Joshua and Jared Simpson and Allison, Alexis, Annabelle, and Alivia Hunt. Bill also leaves behind his sister Mary DeMersseman (David) of Tarpon Springs FL. Bill lived an amazing life and always beat the odds that were stacked up against him. Bill was a graduate of Danville High school, He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Eastern Kentucky University. He then went on to earn his Master’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University. Bill spent 30 years teaching his love of woodworking and industrial arts to high school students at Holmes High School where he later was the Dean of Students. Bill was an avid fisherman, carpenter, woodworker and family man. His proudest accomplishment is his family and being called Papaw. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME, 3312 MADISON PIKE, FT. WRIGHT, KY 41017.
