Christopher Michael Smith

Christopher Michael Smith, 58, of Ft. Mitchell, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, October 18, 2015, with his family at his side. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Laura Smith, as well as his sister, Victoria Smith. He is survived by Mary Lu "Bebe" O'Brien Smith, his loving wife of 40 years. He leaves behind his children: Tommy Smith (Shelley), Michael Smith (Dana), Adam Smith (Danielle), Clayton Smith (Lindsey), and Maria Navin (JP). Chris is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Pete Smith, Huey Smith, Darryl Smith, Helene Hedger, and Irene Coates. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Ethan, Amber, Annaliese, Logan, Austin, Caleb, Aryannah, Ryan, Owen, Madison, Aubrielle, Josephine, and Elizabeth. Chris worked for Duke Energy for nearly 34 years, only missing 1 day of work in all of his years of service. He will be remembered as a hard-working man, who loved to build things and help his friends and family with various projects. Above all, Chris was most proud of his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, Kentucky 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
