Bill Rawe

Bill "Wacker" Rawe, 82, of Ft. Wright, was born on December 23, 1932 and peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, with his daughters at his side. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen (nee McCarthy) Rawe and his brothers and sisters: Garry (Gee), Dan, Sally, Pearline (Pic), Melvin, Ervine, Gladys, Margaret (Little), Corrine (Sis), and Walter (Bud). Bill is survived by his two daughters, Connie and Debbie Rawe, of Ft. Wright. Bill was born and raised in Newport, KY. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bill retired from Corken Steel, which he considered a second family. He was an avid sports fan; he loved UK basketball, the Cleveland Browns, and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed smoking his cigars and going to the casinos with his daughter Debbie and friends. Bill was a lifelong member of the Lawler Hanlon VFW in Newport. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Per his wishes there will be no services. Middendorf Funeral Home is assisting the family.
