Virginia Litmer McBreen

Virginia Litmer McBreen, born October 29, 1912 (age 102) to Harry and Anna Litmer of Covington, Kentucky, peacefully entered into eternal rest, on Monday, July 6, 2015, the 76th anniversary of her marriage to her late husband, Robert McBreen. Virginia was also preceded in death by her children, Virginia, Stephen, and James McBreen; her sister, Catherine Schumacher; and her brother, William Litmer. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Funke (Paul) of Louisville, KY, and Maureen Proebstle (Robert) of North Oaks, MN; her brother, Don Litmer (Blanche) of Indianapolis, IN; her 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. The family wishes to give a special thank you to her devoted caregivers. Virginia will be remembered as a generous and witty lady who had a great love for her Catholic faith, family, and her friends. Throughout her life, she was a member of St. Patrick Church, St. Aloysius Church, and most recently, Mother of God Church. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, Kentucky, 41017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:05 p.m. at Mother of God Church in Covington, on Friday, July 10, 2015. An additional visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
