Mary Margaret "Margie" Johnson

Mary Margaret "Margie" Johnson (nee Steenken), 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Ft. Wright, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved, on Monday, May 25, 2015. Margie was the beloved wife of the late Robert Johnson and the loving and caring mother of the late Michael Johnson. She is also predeceased by her brothers and sister: Fr. George Steenken, S.J., John Steenken, Camille Haverkamp, William Steenken, Patrick Steenken, and Richard Steenken. Margie is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver, Jan Currin (Timothy). She was the proud grandmother of Maria Potter, Annie Currin, Kelli Currin, Kristin Currin, and Jacob Johnson. She will also be greatly missed by her 15 nieces and nephews. Margie will be remembered as a selfless woman, who always put other's needs above her own. Her legacy will be one of care, compassion, faith, and service to family, friends, and everyone she met. Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Ft. Wright, Kentucky 41011 beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright. Middendorf Funeral Home, Ft. Wright, is assisting the family with arrangements.
