Edna Mae Soete

Edna Mae Soete (nee Gabriel), 79, of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2014, with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Soete, their daughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Soete, her sisters, Anne Grimes and Ruth Cummins, and her brother, Joseph Gabriel. Edna is survived by her children: Joan Meagher (Larry), Jana Soete, and Jill Soete (Steve Pedicone). She leaves behind her sister, Barbara Vonderschmidt. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Amanda, Andrew, Blake, and Allie and many nieces and nephews. Edna worked as a Candy Broker at Kondas and Wood for 35 years and was a lifelong and active parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell. She generously gave of her time to several organizations: The Point Arc of Northern Kentucky, Kenton County Salvation Army Auxiliary, and the St. Elizabeth Auxiliary. She was also member of the Covington Art Club, and a founding member of the Ft. Mitchell Life Squad. Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, Kentucky 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell. Burial will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright.
