Bradford M. Baker

September 26, 1920 — August 11, 2014

Bradford Mason Baker passed away on Monday August 11, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of his wife Margo for over 72 years. He is survived by his wife and their sons Brook K. Baker of Boston, Massachusetts and Gary Mason Baker of Jasper, Georgia. He is also survived by his four grandchildren. Brad was a very outgoing and gregarious person who enjoyed meeting people and making new friends all along the way. Brad was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on September 26, 1920. He attended Northeastern University under the Co-op program. He met Marguerite Agar during his second year in college and while dating, changed her name to Margo. After dating, dancing and romancing for three years they were married in June 1942. That fall Brad enlisted in the Army and was immediately sent out of the country and did not return until the end of the war. Upon returning he finished his final year of college and then worked for Firestone Tire in Akron, Ohio before relocating to Northern Kentucky in 1952 to work for Conover-Mast Industrial directory us a salesman. He was a born salesman and enjoyed a very successful business career until he retired in 1985. Outside of work, Brad and Margo enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling, and living to the fullest. Dancers all knew him by his many colorful sports jackets. When their boys went off to college they moved to their dream home known as "Baker's Acre" which Margo designed. The family wishes to thank St. Elizabeth Hospice for the wonderful, compassionate care they gave Brad for the past several months. There will be no services or visitation and the family requests no flowers. Personal notes would be much appreciated.
