Deacon Bob Hermann

Deacon Robert "Bob" Hermann, 85, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Deacon Bob was a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful minister to the people of the Diocese of Covington, namely St. Pius X Parish, Edgewood and St. John Parish, Covington. He led a life of Christian service, faithful to the Gospel and the Catholic Church for which he was ordained in 1992. He is preceded in death by his daughter; Deborah S. Rhoads. Deacon Bob is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Sylvia Wiggins Hermann of nearly 64 years. He is also survived by his children, Barbara Thacker of Cincinnati, OH, Daniel Hermann (Mary Hill-Herman) of Crestview Hills, KY, and Linda Glahn of Falmouth, KY. He will also be missed by his 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at St. John Church, 627 Pike Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of donations to: St. John Christian Service Ministry, 627 Pike Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011.
