Lew Harrison Smith

Lew H. Smith, 82, of Covington, KY passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Lew served his country from 1952 until 1954 in the United States Army. His passion was work and he owned and operated Smith Muffler and Brakes in Covington, KY since 1954. He is preceded in death by his late wife Marilyn Hall. Lew is survived by his two sons; Alan Smith (Kim), and Michael Smith (Sandy), grandchildren; AJ, Taylor, Lewie, Tommy, and Charlie Smith, and his brother Phillip Smith of Texas. A memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 9am until 11am at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright, KY. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice Facility at 483 South Loop, Edgewood, KY 41017 or to St. John Lutheran School Music Room at 220 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN 47001.
