Charles Thomas Nussbaum, age 87, of Fort Mitchell passed away on February 5, 2014. He was the loving husband of the late Velma Ann Nussbaum. Loving father of Chuck Nussbaum(Janice), Ken Nussbaum(Kim), Jim Nussbaum(Ginny), Jeff Nussbaum, Cathy Cappel(Steve), Gary Nussbaum (Linda), Greg Nussbaum, and Karen Gagel(Fred). Loving grandfather to 26 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings Henry, Marie, Sylvester, and Eddie. Charles served our country in the United States Navy and fought in WW2. He then went to Xavier University where he received his Masters in Business Administration. He retired from General Electric after 38 years. He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of Blessed Sacrament Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Charles was the President and Chair of the Board of Saint Vincent de Paul in Northern Kentucky. For many years, he volunteered at the ECHO/Hosea House Soup Kitchen in Newport and belonged to numerous community service funds. Visitation Tuesday from 5-8 pm at MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME, FT. WRIGHT. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial at Mother of God Cemetery.
