Jerome D. Kreger

Jerome D. Kreger, 67, of Edgewood, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013. Jerome was a 1964 graduate of St. Xavier High School, Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated in 1968 from the College of the Holy Cross, Worchester, MA. In 1970 Jerome earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. Jerome practiced Public Accounting for 25 years and spent 16 years as the Chief Financial Officer of Applesauce, Inc. / Apple Illinois, LLC. He was active in the Cincinnati Chapter of CPA's and the Ohio Society of CPA's. Jerome served as president of the Ohio Society of CPA's from 1996 until 1997. He also served as a board member of the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home, Ft. Mitchell, KY. He was a member of Seaton Knights of Columbus for 33 years. Jerome had a great love for the game of golf and was a member of Traditions Golf Club, Hebron, KY. He was a fan of horseracing and even owned a few minor league thoroughbreds. Jerome was an active parishioner of St. Xavier Church, Cincinnati, OH and a parishioner at St. Pius X Church, Edgewood, KY. He was a proud season ticket holder of Xavier Basketball tickets for more than 25 years. Of all his accomplishments, Jerome was most proud and had the greatest love for his family. Jerome was the son of Frank H. Kreger and Bernice (Willig) Kreger, both whom preceded him in death. He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Kathleen (Goetz) Kreger. Jerome was a loving father to Kevin Kreger, Kathryn (Jason) Richardson and Jennifer (Christopher) Reinke. He was the proud grandfather of Lauren and Megan Richardson. He is survived by his two brothers, Frank (Ann) and Christopher (Patricia) Kreger. Jerome also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was a dear friend to many; he, and his sense of humor and love of life will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2013 at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Xavier Church, 607 Sycamore Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. In honor of Jerome's life, it is requested that those attending either the visitation or Mass of Christian Burial wear something purple.
