Mattie Joan McWilliams

Mattie "Joan" McWilliams of Union, KY, 78, passed away Thursday, December 12 at home. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born in Mt. Sterling, KY, moved to Newport, KY at age 9. Attended Newport High School and Holmes High School. Married high school sweetheart, Charles McWilliams and had five children. Long time employee of Boone Co. High School. Preceeded in death by her daughter, Karen McWilliams Verst (Michael). Survived by her children, Pam Doellman (Dan), Audie McWilliams (Cindy), Michael McWilliams (Robin), and David McWilliams. Grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Chelsey, Ethan, Alexa, Paige, Makenzie, Channing, and Macey. Great grandchild, Amaya Grace. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 4pm until 7pm at Middendorf Funeral Home in Fort Wright, KY. A Service will follow the visitation at 7pm.
