John J. Kathman

September 7, 1928 — September 10, 2013

John J. Kathman "Johnny", age 85, of Edgewood passed away on September 10, 2013. He was the beloved husband to Carol Kathman for over 60 years. Loving father to Jack Kathman of Florence, Joy Tindera (Tom) of Cincinnati, and Tim Kathman (Gladys) of Alameda, CA. Dear brother to Elaine Manilla of Huntington, WV. Loving Grandfather to Craig Kathman, Dion Tindera, Michela Tindera, Jared Kathman and Kyle Kathman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and was a friend to many. John is preceded in death by his siblings Rodger, William, Philip, Don, and Blanche. In his younger years, John served our country in the United States Army. He then went on to be co-owner of the Cincinnati Paper Company. Visitation Monday from 3 - 5:30 pm at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 5:30 pm. Entombment at St. John Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to: Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O.
