John Henry Pohlgeers

John H. Pohlgeers, 80, of Villa Hills, KY passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his residence in Villa Hills, KY. John served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was stationed on the U.S.S Antietam. He was a member of the Lions Club, Kentucky Colonels, Ft. Mitchell Board of Adjustments, and the Holy Cross Alumni Association. John is survived by his children, J. Kurt Pohlgeers (Cindy), Colleen M. Mayhaus, Dr. Anthony P. Pohlgeers (Lisa), and Daniel J. Pohlgeers (Joan), siblings, Lawrence Pohlgeers (Judy) Robert Pohlgeers, Edward Pohlgeers, and Francis J. Pohlgeers (Linda), and 9 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 4:30pm until 6:30pm at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 6:30pm. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross High School at 3617 Church St., Covington, KY 41015. Middendorf Funeral Home in Fort Wright is handling the arrangements.
