Cathleen Mary Barczak, 53, from Walton, Ky., passed away on Tuesday at Liberty of Three Rivers Nursing Home in Cleves, Ohio. Cathy was born on Feb. 16, 1960, to parents Christine and Fred Ragoo in Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies. When she was seven years-old she moved to the U.S. Cathy always said her family comes first. And they did. She loved to spend time with her daughters going to watch their basketball games, taking them swimming, and going to the mall. She was a very patient, compassionate, and loving person to her family and those she encountered day to day. She made great sacrifices for her family. She enjoyed helping others physically, mentally and spiritually. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother, which she shared with everyone she came in contact with. She not only impacted her family with her love and dedication but also branched out to her community as well. Cathy was very involved with, All Saints Church in Walton. She was one of the coordinators for Women of Grace group, a member of the Schoenstatt group and helped organize Catholic Order of Forrester's events. When she had a free moment she enjoyed going to Mass, listening to Sacred Heart radio, cooking and watching sci-fi movies. Cathy worked at Citibank in the collections department. In addition to her father, she is also survived by: her husband, Stanley Barczak; her five daughters, Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel, Sarah and Rose; her six sisters, Helen of Charlotte, NC; Marilyn, Little Mountain, SC; Geraldine of Charlotte, NC; Kate of Hartford, Conn.; Dolly of Queens, NY; and Marina of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Cliff of Orlando, Fla. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Christine Ragoo. The family would like to thank medical staffs at Liberty of Three Rivers nursing home, University of Cincinnati Hospital and at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.
