Paul A. Wegener

Paul Wegener, 99, of Lakeside Park Kentucky, passed away on Friday February 1, 2013 at his home in Lakeside Park. He served in the Army Signal Corp during WW II and worked as a furniture salesman for Shillito's (now Macy's) for over 40 years. He sang in the Blessed Sacrament Choir and Covington Cathedral Bishop's Choir for over 65 years. Paul was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Foltz) for over 70 years and the devoted father of John Paul (Donna) Wegener and Mary Elizabeth (John) Peavler and grandfather of Kristina Wegener, Michael Wegener and Rachel Peavler. Paul is survived by his sister, Martina Robinson of Jacksonville Florida. His sister, Mary Beckman and his brothers William Wegener Jr. and Leonard Wegener preceded him in death. Visitation is from 9am to 11am at the Cathedral Basilica, 12th and Madison, Covington, on Thursday February 7, 2013, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
