Jared A. Barlage of Edgewood, KY, passed away from complications of liver disease on Dec. 20, 2012, in Odessa, TX. He was 43. Loving son of Harry "Hank" and the late Virginia "Ginny" Barlage of Edgewood, KY. Dear brother of Amy York (David) of Alexandria, VA; Sarah Barlage Bilott (Rob) of Crescent Springs, KY; Ben Barlage (Carrie) of Edgewood, KY; and Kate Wiseman (Steve) of Edgewood, KY. Special uncle to David, Julianne and Libby York; Teddy, Charlie and Tony Bilott; Ellen, Caroline, Jenna and Henry Barlage; and Nicholas and Jared Wiseman. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his partner, Will Baker. Jared will always be remembered for his sharp wit, contagious smile, kind spirit and love for his Daschunds, Adelaide and Hildegard. A graduate of Covington Catholic High School and Northern Kentucky University, Jared enjoyed a successful lobbying career in Washington, DC, including 14 years with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A memorial Mass will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
