Carroll "Tim" Weber, 79, of Walton, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his residence. Tim was retired from the U.S Army. He earned a battlefield commission during the Korean War and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel during his 30 years of military service. He served multiple tours of duty in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was awarded the bronze star and the purple heart during his career. He obtained a BA degree from New York State University. After retirement from the Army Tim worked as an instructor and lecturer at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas for 12 years and at the Holiday Inn Airport in Northern Kentucky for 10 years. Tim earned numerous service awards during his time at the Holiday Inn. In his free time Tim coached the Army baseball team and various youth and little league teams. He was an avid golfer, bowler, reader and enjoyed flower gardening with his wife. He was a huge Reds baseball, Bengals and University of Kentucky football fan. He loved his family, friends, the lord and his country. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, John "Pop" and Mildred Bowers. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce Weber of Walton, KY; children Amanda Atkins (Mark) of Burlington, KY; Gregg Buchanan of Sylva, N.C; David Weber of Leavenworth, KS; John Weber of Leavenworth, KS; grandchildren Tristan Buchanan, Lainey Atkins, Kacey Weber, and Kurt Weber. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1pm until 2pm at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright, KY with a service to follow at 2pm.
