William B. Middendorf

Formerly of Park Hills, KY, Loving and devoted husband of Marian Hannan Middendorf for 68 years, died on January 26, 2012 in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Bill was the son of William A. and Mae Brueggen Middendorf of Park Hills, KY. His sisters, Dorothy Miller and Sr. Mary Middendorf, OLVM preceded him in death. Bill is survived by his wife and their 12 children Sue, Barbara, Bill Jr., Michael, Peggy, Joan, Mary Patricia, Nancy, Anne, Tim, Julia, and John, 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Sr. Ann Middendorf OSB, and Brother Richard (Dick) Middendorf, now of Villa Hills, KY, and many nieces and nephews. Bill was graduated from Saint Xavier High School, '39, Notre Dame University, '43, and served in the Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was employed by the Mack-Miller candle company first in Indiana and then in Washington, D.C. from 1948 until 1986. He also obtained the Christian Brothers' Sacramental Wine Franchise for the Washington D.C. Area.
