John "Jack" Buechel

Jack and his loving wife, Mary Jane (nee Cardosi), were married for more than 60 years. They have 7 children, Ed (Kathy), Beth Lange, Wally (Mary Ann), Tim (Marcy), Ann Henn (Bob), all from Edgewood, Gerard (Shelley) from Seattle, Washington, and John from Louisville. Jack was the proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Jack was the founding partner of Buechel Bros. Grocery which served the people of west Newport for more than 45 years. He was also a POW during World War II. The family would like to thank all of Jack's doctors and care givers, especially the loving and dedicated nurses and staff of Hospice. Visitation tonight from 4 to 8 pm at MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME, FT. WRIGHT. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 am at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood.
