Carol Ann Wald (Adler), 78, of Fort Wright, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Villa Springs Care Center, following a long bout with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Carol was born on April 5, 1946, to Kenneth Newton Adler Sr. and Marie Virginia Carriker, in Mineola, New York. Carol and her loving husband Tilo Wald would have celebrated their 58th year of marriage this September. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Kenneth N. Adler Jr. and Gregory Adler.

Carol will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to all. She was strongly dedicated to her family and her warmth, kindness, beautiful smile, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all. She never met a stranger and left fond memories for everyone whom she met.

She is survived by her husband Tilo Wald, her son Darrin Wald (Anne) of Cornelius, North Carolina, her daughter, Tandi Griffin, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, and her son Gregory Wald (Aimee), of Independence, Kentucky. Carol was a loving and proud grandmother to Trevor Isaacs, Laine Wald, Allison Isaacs, Grace Wald, Graham Wald, Emma Wald, Rylie Wald, and Charli Griffin. She also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Elisabeth Rains, and one great-grandson, Grey Wald.

Carol’s gift of love and family will continue to inspire all that had the privilege of knowing her.

At this time, we will not be having a memorial service, but will celebrate her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
