Charles Franklin Daniel

Charles Franklin Daniel was born on April 11, 1924 to Blanche Burden Daniel and Charles E. Daniel in Beaver Dam, KY, Ohio County.

He is survived by Inez Mercer Daniel, mother of his children, Suzanne Brake, Frances Schulz and Paul Daniel (Elaine). All 3 children are Retired Educators. He also had a special niece, Patricia Daniel Ricketts (Herschel Jr.). His family also includes 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.

Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Charles Daniel, his brother, Roy Leonard Daniel (Anna Mae), his grandson, Christopher Daniel Schulz, a nephew, Donald Roy Daniel and his spouse, Shirley Jane Daniel.

After joining the Navy on May 22, 1941 after HS graduation on May 5, 1941, he very soon received a NEW name, Dan/Danny from his Navy mates. He spent 20 years of Active Duty in the USN Hospital Corps and 10 years Retired Reserve Service. All involving service in War Time: WW II, Korea and Vietnam. Served from May 1941- July 1971.

Mr. Daniel received an Associate Degree in PUBLIC HEALTH ENGINEERING and ADMINISTRATION. He was a GRADUATE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT. He also taught MILITARY HEALTH SCIENCES.

Mr. Daniel was an avid golfer and a "Nut" for UK College BASKETBALL.

SERVICE....KENTUCKY VETERANS CEMETERY NORTH in Williamstown, KY on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Noon with Full Military Honors.
