Courtney Fain Thurman

Courtney Fain Thurman, 80 years of age, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Ky. She was the loving wife of Bud Thurman, and they enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and moved all over the country for Bud's job, and eventually settled in Ft. Mitchell, which became their home for over 40 years. Courtney was a big supporter of everything Beechwood. She was a substitute teacher, worked in the cafeteria, was a member of the Athletic and Band Boosters, and spent many years serving on the Beechwood Board of Education. Courtney also loved playing bridge and tried to play several times a week. She was a bulldog lover, especially of Phannie, her best girlfriend for over 10 years. She was the loving mother of Mitch Thurman (Mary), Courtney Ann Stillwell, Jennifer Wright, and Chris Thurman. She was a devoted "Meemaw" to her eight grandchildren: Melissa and Madeline Thurman, Casey Hurley, Shelby Rogel, Travis Stillwell, Kaitlin Lawless, Sarah and Alex Wright. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26 from 11:00 am until 12:00pm at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright. Service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
