Jack W. Stansel passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at the age of 81 years old. Jack loved his many trips to Las Vegas and later in life traveled to Hawaii, Alaska and Ireland. Jack loved music and dancing. He had a passion for the stock market and loved telling everyone he met about the rule of 72 and the best invention “compounding interest”. One of his many sayings was “if you can’t make money while you sleep you will work the rest of your life”.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, the late Louis, Sr. and Barbara (nee Ash) Stansel and a brother, the late Louis Stansel, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Stansel (nee Cottingham); Sister-In-Laws, Virginia (The late Jim) Zion, Paulette (the late Vernon) Bowling and Ruth (Dan) Liley; nieces, Sherry (Gary) Hansman, Michele (Richard) Smith, Vickie (Paul) Masminster, Tammy (Brian) Ellis and Cindy Stansel; nephews, Thomas Kent and Christopher Stansel. Jack is also survived by 11 great nieces and nephews and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 21st from 11:00 am until time of Blessing at 12:00 pm at Middendorf Funeral Home 3312 Madison Pk. Ft. Wright, KY 41017. Sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
