Joan L. Meyer

Joan Louise Meyer (nee Jaskaniec) 88 years of age, passed away Friday morning at Madonna Manor Nursing Home. Joan is survived by three loving sons, Michael (Jennifer), Edward (Maria), and Timothy (Leila); granddaughters Mikel (Rob) Quast, McKenzie (Jake) Lackner and Katherine (Stephen) Armstrong; and four great-grandchildren, Jameson, Leo, Sophie and Lou; dear sister of Michael Jaskaniec and several nieces and nephews. 

Joan was born in La Crosse, WI, raised in Milwaukee and attended Mt. Mary College there. Her education led to an internship in Cincinnati, where she became a certified dietitian. After getting married and while raising three boys, Joan established her own consulting business and worked with nursing homes and other healthcare facilities throughout Northern Kentucky. 

During her life Joan was passionate about her faith, family, and friends. She enjoyed bridge, bowling, and traveling, especially trips back to Wisconsin. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, October 10th at 5:00 PM, Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Following the ceremony, friends may visit during a reception at Ft. Mitchell Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Blessed Sacrament Church or Madonna Manor, 2344 Amsterdam Rd., Villa Hills, KY 41017.
