Joseph R. Droege

Joseph R. Droege, age 98, of Covington, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024.  Joe was a faithful member of St. Augustine Parish (Covington, KY) and proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.  Joe was a huge sports fan and he especially enjoyed running.

 He is survived by his loving children, Donna M. Soward (Kenneth), Mary Kay Young (The late Timothy), Mark A. Droege (Mary Beth), Joe W. Droege, and daughter-in-law Denise Droege; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Joe was preceded in death by his dear wife of 70 years, Mary Ann Droege (nee Atwood); son, Michael J. Droege; siblings, Jack Droege, Claire Burlage, Bill Droege and Robert Droege. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at St. Augustine Church from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00 AM. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
